Fasting is an indescribable spiritual experience
what does fasting do for us spiritually? Why is it transformative?
[ ] Fasting is an internal devotion, if your heart isn't in the right place it doesn't please God.
[ ] Fasting is putting away Sinful Desires, repentance Romans 8:7, 13 The Holy Spirit and human flesh are engaged in a fierce conflict. Galatians 5
[ ] This internal conflict necessitates the re-training of our flesh to more intuitively obey the Holy Spirit. Fortunately, re-training our flesh and mind to obey the Holy Spirit is possible.
[ ] Seeking the will of God, starve the flesh, sinful desires of nutrients until they wither away. Eliminate their influence so the Spirit can dominate and exercise complete control. As expressed by Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:27: “I discipline my body and bring it into subjection.”
[ ] Fasting Cultivates Spiritual Clarity Fasting subdues our reliance on the natural world, compelling us to derive sustenance from the spiritual realm. Consequently, our perception of God's voice becomes increasingly lucid. Fasting serves as an efficacious means of acquiring clarity when faced with crucial decisions. It's analogous to the lifting of a veil, wherein the mysteries of Scripture become perceptibly clearer.

[ ] Fasting Exposes Our Deepest Imperfections or that control us. When we fast, some of our most undesirable traits often surface during the most challenging periods. Carnal desires, anger, irritability, jealousy, and fear are just a few examples of the imperfections that come to light. These revelations are ultimately beneficial and healthy, as they compel us to confront them directly.
[ ] Supernatural supply, dasting Unlocks Spiritual Power By renouncing inferior power sources, we create space for God's power to envelop and fill us more completely.
[ ] Building Trust, Falling in Love Fasting instills in us a deep-seated trust in God, compelling us to depend on Him entirely. As trust grows, so does our relationship, ultimately yielding love.
